We absolutely loved this cruise! Although older, the ship was comfortable, well-maintained and clean. It fits 150 passengers making it a little more intimate. We had a lower cabin because we booked very late but found it comfortable and well organized with a good sized window in it although we did not spend a lot of time in our room. After I booked the cruise, I found out this CroisiEurope boat was smaller which was great--we did a dinner cruise around Paris before we left which was beautiful with no issues going under the bridges. The smaller boat also allowed our cruise to go all the way & dock at Honfleur--something the other cruises can't do.
The menu was a set menu (they do ask if you have any allergies or food preferences prior the cruise) and we found the french cuisine absolutely delicious with good size portions very nicely presented. We were always quite full! We did have the same group at our table for the cruise--they tried to match similar languages so there would be dinner conversation. We met a lot of the other passengers by going to the lounge for coffee or drinks and mingling there. The lounge had entertainment including an amazing keyboard player, a cabaret show and a show put on by the crew. We also had morning exercise on the sundeck when our itinerary allowed it.
The ports were well chosen-- Paris, Giverny -Monet's Gardens, Honfleur, Rouen, etc. giving you an assortment of history and beautiful locations. Most days there was an excursion during one half of the day with time to explore on your own for a few hours. The guides were very knowledgeable in their topics. We booked our cruise all inclusive so it included all excursions.
