Having had a fantastic cruise on the Thomson Dream two years ago, we booked up for the new Discovery, for the Cosmopolitan Classics sailing on 18th June, choosing a delux balcony cabin.

Firstly the ship is much more modern as expected, amazing atrium area. but the refurb has been a bit haphazard, our balcony was a bit weary looking. If I am honest I prefer the more traditional cruise line look of the Dream even though it is a bit old fashioned, but then that's just personal preference. But cabin was great, spacious, lots of storage space, very comfortable bed. Bathroom was ok - except for the really tight shower with a clingy shower curtain.. Shower gel is provided in a dispenser which is refilled each day. Its ok for just washing off the suntan lotion, but if you want good quality toiletries then take them yourself.

The cabin steward was excellent, no complaints there at all.
