This was our first river cruise. It was luxurious in all the right ways. Ama gave us features that we needed and used, without others (like climbing walls) that we haven't used on ocean cruises. We would love to take another cruise with this line again.

The staff were wonderful. We felt like AmaWaterways had selected highly trained people who got along well, which makes a difference in the cruise experience. There was a nice balance between high standards of service and the teasing and banter that went on. Also, they all seemed to be able to turn their hands to many jobs, which was impressive.

Our cruise director, Balazs, was a gem. He kept us well informed with port talks and announcements of excursions and did some commentary. He seemed to be everywhere throughout the day. At one point in Bratislava I thought he must have been cloned, because he was keeping tabs on three excursion groups at the same time (making sure our guides were doing well). He also came through when my husband left his phone on the shuttle bus in Vienna - locating it and getting it back to us later, in Germany. Really great service.

Cabin Review

Stateroom with French balcony and outside balcony

Cabin AA+

The cabin was comfortable, with good storage. The bath was nice and had a good shower. The room was very quiet, except for some noise from joggers on the sun deck above, but they observed limited hours so there was no noise too early or too late. We never heard the people on either side of us.
