We wanted to duplicate our honeymoon cruise some 21 years ago. We flew down to san Juan 2 days in advance to take in the sites in Old San Juan and to sample the local restaurants. (Pannes restaurant in the Coronado District was so good we ate there twice) The Adventure of the Seas (Voyager Class) has been recently refurbished and has many of the amenities you'll find on newer RCCL ships. It is due for another upgrade in Nov. 2016 which will add even more restaurants, entertainment and outdoor activity venues. The ship is clean, well maintained and the crew was very pleasant and helpful. There is more than plenty to do aboard ship to keep you busy. There is also many places to go to for quiet time. Entertainment was very good and a nice variety. The food was good but nothing special.
Our cruise visited 5 ports along the Lesser Antilles. One of the things that makes this cruise unique is that at every stop we were the only ship in port. Something you would rarely see in places like Nassau or Cozumel. The ports, with the exception of Antigua, were clean and friendly. The shop keepers, tour guides and taxi drivers on Antigua are aggressive and don't take no easily. Just be prepared!
I would definitely recommend this cruise.
Clean, comfortable, quiet. Super location to access Windjammer, Pools, Solarium.
Great food, lots of history, vibrant night life. We stayed at the Marriott Resort which was very nice and clean. The pool and beach area is very nice.
Shopping in St. Maarten is great, something for everyone. The food is excellent and the beer is cold!
Spent the day at the Marriott Resort (resort for a day). Friendly, quiet atmosphere. Food and dink were 1st rate.
