A very disappointing river cruise, given the perceived reputation of the Uniworld brand. Although this was our first time on Uniworld, there were many "regulars" on board who were also not impressed.
I believe we were the first cruise that was able to make it from Porto all the way for some time. (the river had been too high ).
If you have cruised on the Rhine, Danube or the French rivers you will find the Duoro rather lacking. There are very few towns of any substance on it - a function of geography - and almost all tours involve quite long coach rides. Apart from the vinyards the overwhelming impression is of the profusion of derelict habitations, often with trees growing through the roofs.
