Ads on PBS ("Downton Abbey") made us want to try a river cruise. We were observing our 40th wedding anniversary, and we thought a cruise from Prague to Paris would be a wonderful anniversary gift to each other. The ship's staff made us feel special by recognizing our anniversary at dinner aboard the ship, and provided us complimentary champagne for a toast to the (still) happy couple. We also got a special dessert with "Happy Anniversary" written on the plate in chocolate sauce. Our tour leader, a delightful young German woman named Stephanie, was terrific. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the places we visited, always glad to help any way she could, and, being German, always absolutely punctual. We loved all the towns we visited. The food aboard the ship was delicious, but the only problem was deciding what dishes to select and trying not to overeat or drink too much of the excellent beer and wine, both of which were available in unlimited supply.

A bit small, but comfortable and adequate for our needs (we are both fairly small people).
