This was our first trip to Europe and also our first river cruise. It was the most memorable vacation we have taken. All the arrangements were made by Viking and were perfect. We did not have one mishap anywhere on this trip from the airport, to the transportation, to the cruise itself, throughout the extended stay in Paris afterwards, or the flight home.

The Rolf was beautiful and spotless, our room was kept immaculate (and was very nice with an excellent bathroom), the food was incredible, and the staff was incredibly gracious every single day. Even though it was chilly and it rained on and off, France was amazing and everyplace we went was beautiful. Our shore excursions were well planned with knowledgeable guides. We loved visiting Vernon, Rouen, Monet's home and gardens at Giverny, Normandy, Les Andelys, and Versailles. We extended our stay after the cruise in Paris for three days and it was wonderful. We stay at the Ampere Hotel (which was lovely, our room was not small, and the service was excellent) and explored as much of the city as we could. Our Viking guide showed us around the area and how to use the Metro so we were ready to go and spent each day out exploring. We were only sad that we couldn't see everything!!

I don't know if it was because this was our "first" for everything or that we were so excited for this trip, or because the weather was pretty much agreeable the who time, but we would do it again in a second! We have already reserved a trip next year and it will be with Viking. We are looking forward to taking more cruises with Viking to many different countries!
