Never been to Europe. Wanted to see central Europe and the Danube. It was incredible. Viking did everything. It was "cradle to grave". Our air was handled by Viking. We flew directly to Europe so we only had one change to get to Budapest. Viking picked us up and took us to the boat. Our luggage was in the room when we opened the door. The service was excellent, the food was terrific, and the port excursions were entertaining and educational. I think the attention to detail in all aspects of the cruise is what made me feel as though the crew really cared about our comfort and fun. The first lock we encountered was about midnight and we had to wait for about an hour to enter. The cruise director stayed with the people waiting on deck to watch the lock entrance. By the time the boat entered the lock it was after 1 am. Now this guy probably had to be up at 6 am but as long as their were passengers on deck, he stayed there explaining what was happening. The whole situation impressed me and set a good tone for the balance of the trip. Hopefully we go on another cruise and it will definitely be Viking.

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Outstanding. King size bed with space underneath for luggage. Lots of storage for clothes.

Bathroom was small but large enough for our needs.
