We chose the Elbe River Cruise because we wanted to visit Berlin and the cities along the Elbe River and Prague, CZ. The hotel in Berlin was excellent. We actually came in two days early to see more of Berlin. The bus ride to Madenberg was very comfortable and the stop in Potsdam short. We would have enjoyed more time there. The Beyla was a beautiful ship and the staff were exceptional. Matt was an excellent Cruise Director. We liked the tours off the ship and the guides are so knowledgeable. Our room was like a four star hotel room. Only complaint I have there is the pillows. We did ask for firmer ones and they were in our room immediately. The dining room was so bright it made dining such a pleasure. The staff who waited on us in the dining room were very courteous and friendly. The food was excellent and the wine flowed! The staff in the lounge truly were so friendly and made wonderful drinks. The lounge was so bright and sunny it beckoned you to spend time there. The upper outside deck was nice to relax and enjoy the sites as we flowed by. The putting green was a big hit. The staff behind the scenes were always courteous and spoke to you when you saw them. We only ate off the ship once and that was in Dresdan at a cafe on the square. It was actually just a snack and a chance to people watch. The hotel in Prague was excellent and really close to Old Town. We love Prague and this was our second visit to this beautiful city. We actually stayed two more days in the city center. Wonderful way to end the cruise.

The entertainment was good but we have had better. We would have liked to have more interactive things in the evening from the cruise director. We did have a music trivia game one night that everyone enjoyed. I don't know if there were fitness exercises or not.

Embarkation and disembarkation goes so smoothly. No problem there. One of the things we like is how easy it is to get on and off the ship. Like leaving your home. No hassle. We love when you come back from a tour they greet you with a treat of some kind, warm lemon damp towels, little smoothy drinks etc. so welcoming. Read more
