I wanted to experience the tulip fields of Holland. And they were magnificent!!! The tour of the windmills was also a draw. Loved it!! Only wish we had more time in the tulip fields and gardens. The Viking cruise itself was terrific, as usual. The attention to detail was amazing. For example, one afternoon when we returned to the ship after a walking tour, we were handed a pure white tulip. I thought the gesture was lovely, but also thought, "What am I going to do with this tulip?" When we got to our rooms, there on the counter was a crystal bud vase! The room cabin, the dining room and the front desk and concierge service were impeccable. The food was just yummy--lots of selections at every meal. Our veranda room had plenty of space. The itinerary was busy, but not too busy. We especially enjoyed visiting with the locals in Hoorn. We got to spend an hour in a home and asked questions about life in Hoorn and were served tea and apple strudel!!! Although we booked on March 1st, for a departure date of March 31st, we were amazed at how smoothly our booking process went. Thank you, Viking, for a trip of a lifetime.
We had plenty of space. Really enjoyed sitting out on the veranda watching the world float by. The beauty products were high quality. And the cabin attendant was friendly, but not too friendly. His attention to detail was much appreciated!
