Sail Date: Jun 2016

I was initially drawn to the ports the Viking Sea into the Midnight Sun was going to visit, especially the Okneys and Shetlands. All port stops were truly amazing in all aspects - what I learned from the guides, from the Port Talks prior to the upcoming port were very informative. Nordkapp was my favourite stop, and so fortunate to have the sun shine and enjoy the warmest temperature of all the stops. A sail into the Trollsfjord was an added bonus and so thrilling.

On board where to start - warmly greeted with a glass of champagne, everywhere you looked was beautiful just the beginning of a journey that was first class all the way.

The entertainment, the service staff at all levels, the food was outstanding. The variety and talent of the musicians was excellent. The art work and other Nordic displays set a tone for the Scandinavian set before us. A trip of a lifetime - thank you so very much.

Cabin Review

Cabin Stateroom

Spacious, comfortable, all amenities always there; and to have the room tended to twice each day was a very special treat.

Port Reviews

Kirkwall

Kirkwall and and Orkneys have a special place in my heart as my materal grandmother immigrated to Canada from one of the smaller islands - Eday when she was 18. She told us stories of the beautiful land and the sea.

Geiranger

There were 4 in our party and we chose to rent a car (one of the group is from Norway so was very comfortable doing the driving). Enjoyed the spectacular scenery going up from Geiranger. Certainly earns the title for the world's most stunning vistas.

Kristiansand

Because of cold I spent the morning on the ship. Did go on shore in the afternoon and enjoyed strolling around the downtown area.

Tromso

We chose to go on our own this day. Strolled through a market, beautiful central park then took the local bus to the cable car to the submit, spending lots of time strolling, taking photos then making our way to the Ice Cathedral, catching the bus into the port area. Enjoyed eating fish & chips on the dock with all the begging sea gulls.

Harwich

We directly embarked on the ship.
