We were interested in the scheduled ports of call and the daily tours included in the package. We had other friends who had taken a Viking Cruise and they all raved about the value of their trip.

If we had it to do over again, we would definitely go to the embarkation city several days in advance. Primarily for two reasons, recover from jet lag prior to boarding the ship and having more time to spend exploring such a fascinating city (Budapest).

ALL of the ship's staff and crew members were extremely pleasant & helpful, chatting with the passengers and making you feel like you were a special friend & guest. My husband being diabetic was always offered a special low sugar dessert - quite a treat when he usually has to respond "no thanks" to dessert. Menu selections were superb and we always had the option of having a lighter evening meal.
