We chose Carnival because we had sailed with them before. We were on the Carnival Freedom. We drove to Galveston and parked at the terminal. Be sure to prepay on line, you can save $5.00. We were on board by 1pm. Our ocean view room was even ready. We were served lunch on the Lido deck. We didn't get our luggage till later in the evening, which was fine since we didn't plan on changing clothes. I do have one complaint. I did not like having the Serenity area, adult only, so close to the Kid camp area. Why have an adult only area when you can hear the kids yelling, running and playing. I went on a cruise to get away from my kids, I do not want to hear someone else's kids. lol Shows were entertaining, Bingo was fun, dining was great. I would recommend this cruise and would take it again.
