We embarked the ship at 4pm therefore it was seamless, we were probably the last one's on the ship therefore no line-ups. We travelled with our 12 year old. The downside of the 12-14 year old camp was it was closed all day until 4pm which that didn't work for us since she didn't want to come on excursions with us. After a few days, I contacted the younger camp counsellor and enrolled my daughter in the 2 to 11 camp.

The ship was not what I expected for a 2016 ship design. It was mediocre in design, the atrium did not have a wow factor like other ships. If I would design a ship, the atrium would be the focal point. The show lounge "the liquid lounge" was too small. We went once and left early since it was overcrowded and very uncomfortable. We weren't impressed with the show either.

The Horizons dining room was ok but again no wow factor. The food was very bland and the wine over priced, for a bottle that normally you pay $8.95 was $24.00. The buffet was not very good in the lido, very repetitive. The breakfast choices for the room service was awful, cereal, yogurt or bagel. The entertainment during the day at sea were non existent. The pools were way too small for 4000 people, water was cold. The pool at the back of the ship was unbearable due to the smell from petroleum (smelly). We played mini-putt (nice course), played billiards.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8E

Small, bad décor, not very comfortable sofa bed, too hard. Shower curtain tacky.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Been there before, it looked dirtier and way too many dogs.

Marseille

We took a hop on hop off tour, it was Sunday, all the stores were closed, not very impressed, we prefer Nice and Monaco.

Florence (Livorno)

We rented a car and went to Tuscany, had a nice lunch in Bolgheri, saw beautiful sites, stopped by White Vada Beach.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We had been to Rome before, this time we took a shuttle on our own. We purchased skip the line tickets to see the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica.

Naples

We reserved jet foil ferry on our own to go to the Island of Capri, WOW!! beautiful island.

Crete (Heraklion)

We rented a car and drive tog Agios Nikolaos, what a beautiful seaside town.

Rhodes

We rented a car and drove to Lindos, had a nice seaside lunch. Then we walked in the town of Rhodes, very beautiful.

Athens (Piraeus)

We purchased a hop on hop off on our own and visited the Acropolis, WOW!! had a beautiful lunch at a restaurant right in from of the Acropolis with an amazing view. We visited the Temple of Zeus. Other than visiting the sights, I would say that Athens is in a sad state.
