Had always wanted to go to Norway and Scotland, had had an excellent experience on a Viking river cruise in 2014. The ship was wonderful (Viking Sea). The cabin was great. Food and service were above expectations. Embarkation and disembarkation could not have gone more smoothly. The entertainment was professional grade, the best we've had on any cruise. Shore excursions were overall very good. (The write-up on some excursions exceeded what the excursion actually gave us.) The dining options were wonderful. We especially liked the Restaurant and the World Cafe. The public areas of the ship were so open and filled with light. Everyone on the crew was so friendly and helpful. We were treated to an extra fjord jaunt when the captain arranged to take us up Trollfjord. The small ship experience was much nicer than any large cruise ship that we have ever been on. We had such a great experience that we didn't want to leave at the end of the cruise.

Cabin Review

Cabin penthouse veranda

Penthouse Veranda - Good size and good room arrangement. Loved the heated floor and mirror in the bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Would have liked wine instead of champagne in our room bar.
