We had never done a river cruise but always wanted to. We looked at many brochures and spoke to many peopled in our community who had gone on river cruises. My neighbor, who has been cruising for over 25 years sat down with us and went over the various river cruises. We decided on the Passau to Budapest river cruise which also included a four day land tour of Munich and Salzburg. The cruise and land tours were great.

Viking personal met us at the airport and took us directly to our hotel in Munich. The land tours and hotels were excellent. We arrived at the ship on Sunday and embarkation went very smoothly. Our cabin was at the rear of the ship on the bottom level. The cabin met our needs but was very noisy due to it's location. I would suggest getting a cabin on the 2nd floor around midship.

The food and service on the ship was excellent as well as the ports and excursions.
