I traveled with a friend who had been on a Viking River Cruise last year. The service from the friendly crew was excellent . The chef went out of his way to make every meal the best. The program director Marek Snelly went out of his way to keep us informed and entertained along with the concierge. The reception desk very helpful. The captain kept the ship smooth sailing thru the locks and docking with out you feeling anything. The cabin staff kept us very happy. The ports and excursions were very informative and fun to be there. The flooding of the river kept us from cruising along the whole river which i was really disappointed with. We transferred ships because we could not fit under the bridges and the transfer was amazingly smooth i was amazed., Although, I was really disappointed we did miss a lot of the cruise time. An amazing trip just missed seeing the castles and the river cruise where the ship could no go because of the rising rapid waters.
