We chose this cruise because we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with our entire family (19 of us) on 7/27/16 & we wanted to be on the ship on that day. We also chose it as we felt there would be more for the kids to do. My husband & I went to Denali first, which we loved, even with the rain. The 2 lodges were great, spacious, comfortable rooms & very good food. Then we met all the kids & grandkids in Whittier, going SB to Vancouver. I have to agree with one of the other reviewers, the food was very disappointing, especially the coffee at the buffet. Do they make it that bad so you'll buy the coffee package?? No excuse for such bad coffee. The buffet food was very mediocre, & the dining room food was inconsistent--sometimes very good, sometimes not good at all. The "ice cream" was awful. Breakfast dining room menu was very limited. However, the food in the International Cafe was wonderful, altho somewhat limited. The WIFI & Internet was non functioning for the first 2 days at sea & was annoying since we couldn't message our family to find out where people were. We did not like the entertainment, but some of our kids liked some things. Just not like the old days of 10-20 years ago. Our mini stateroom was quite nice, more spacious than on other ships, & that was a plus. If I were booking this cruise for just myself & my husband, I would pick a smaller ship & a classier one. The kids, aged 7-17 felt that the buffet food on the Disney cruises was better. We did enjoy the excursions we booked through Princess.

We just walked around, went to a charming museum 10-15 min. from downtown. Also went to another museum in town, very good.
