We chose this cruise because we liked the places to be visited, we had cruised with Scenic before and knew their high standards. The ship was modern, spotless, excellently maintained and professionally crewed. The welcome aboard was warm, friendly and very slick. The cabin was well appointed with a balcony containing table and chairs, The en-suite was larger than some I have seen in hotels with bath and walk-in shower and had plenty of towel rails and shelf space for toiletries. There was a wide choice of food at each meal with vegetarian options, though the food wasn't quite so good as on the previous Danube/Rhine cruise. The exception to this comment was the special Table La Rive dinner, a multi-course tasting menu, which was virtually faultless. The presentation of food was of fine dining quality throughout. The excursions were well chosen and the guides were almost all very good or excellent. Most of the evening entertainment was not to our taste, in particular the last evening when many retired early due to the volume of disco music, despite several polite requests to tone it down. There was one very good evening, a French Chanteuse - Veronique - who was of high quality. The staff were almost all very good, efficient, helpful, polite, pleasant and friendly.

Cabin Junior Suite

In addition it seemed to be assumed that all travellers are tall men. For example the hooks for robes and towel rails were out of reach for this 5 ft woman and robes were too long and slippers too large.
