Arrived two days early and stayed at Embassy Suites Fort Lauderdale.  Great hotel in great location, you can walk to everything including a Publix supermarket.   Arranged transport through Miami 411.  They did a great job arriving early and ready for my family of five.  Embarkation was a breeze arrived at port at 10:45AM and we were on the ship at 11:30AM in second group called.  Went to windjammer and foundsome seats easily(just about the only time we did all week) and settled in for a relaxing lunch.  Rooms were ready at 1:00 and some of our luggage had already arrived.  Muster drill, same old, same old and then dressed for dinner.  Food-Dining room food was just ok.  We thought Windjammer was actually better, more variety and believe it or not, it tasted better.  Sorrentos and the Cafe had great pizza and sandwiches whenever we wanted.  The cookies at the bakery were a definite favorite of the kids!Entertainment-All shows were very very good.  I was very surprised at the quality and talent of the staff in the shows.  We went to every show and loved all of them.  Ice show was excellent and comedians were all top notchService-Dining room service was average, nothing special at all.  Cabin Steward was phenomenal and the kids adopted Rodney!  He made the cruise extra special for the familyJohnny Rockets-best burgers by far on the ship.  Great service and well worth the money!Richard Spacey and staff-really make the cruise special.  A memorable interaction every time we saw them. This was a great cruise.  Already booked Freedom next spring break out of Port Canaveral.  I would not hesitate to recommend highly
