Sail Date: Aug 2016

This was our first river cruise, so we cannot make comparisons. We have sailed on Symphony, and the Mozart met our high expectations. Here are some notes that may be of use:

Getting to the ship: A Crystal rep met us at the airport, led us to the bus, and a short time later we were at the ship. Please note if you are transfering on your own, you will have difficulty finding the ship, which is docked by itself off a bike path, Cab drivers will probably not know the location. We arrived at 9 am and just walked onboard as previous guests were leaving. No security or checkin desk. Find a staff dressed in white; she will take your picture and give you your card. That's it. We had to wait until 1 pm for our cabin, but that is not normal.

The cabin: adequate size, smaller than Symphony. The king bed is nice, but takes up a big portion of the room. Limited but adequate storage space for us. The bathroom is a good size, but very little storage. The ipad to control temp, lights, tv may be a help for some, but we couldn't work it. Everything operated fine manually. We had a lower level room. Being below waterlevel was unnerving at first, but we quickly got used to it. Lack of light when against the dock was no issue for us. Keep in mind, some of the docks are high; you leave the ship from the third deck. and level 2 cabins will have no light either. Only 240 volt outlets, but plenty of USB ports for phones and ipads. We brought a converter/adapter and had no problems.
