This was an incredible cruise and definitely worth the money. Our room was on the 2nd floor near the coffee lounge. We thought it may have been noisy and thought we would request an upgrade before we even went to our room. We looked at the suites on the forth floor and decided that as the room is the same size no matter where on the ship other than the window it was not worth the amount for the upgrade. As it turned out our room was great no noise, easy to get coffee and hot chocolate even the laundry is the floor below and very handy. The food was great lots to select and the staff were simply incredible. The cruise director whilst it was his last cruise with Uniworld was like an encyclopaedia of knowledge, he knew everything about the river the castle which were many and all the churches. Embarkation was great no worries at all, the captain actually carried our bags on board. Entertainment was light on but you are on a River cruise not an ocean liner and all the entertainment related to the port we were at that day/night. The shore excursion are very informative we also went on the ones you paid for and these were also excellent. Each port was very easy to get around and find you way back to the ship.

The only issue we had was airport the system Uniworld use is not very user friendly and created an number of unhappy people. We all had to check in individually and check was a disaster as the airport staff appeared to not have that much experience. Once we arrived in Istanbul we collected our bags and had to put them on large trollies so they could be transported to the buses. Again this was very badly organised. Much easy to take our own bags to the bus and load them on. The Hotels we stayed were great. We did have a small issue in Bucharest relating to armbands around the pool, this was a hotel policy and not explained.

In our opinion Uniworld were excellent with the cruise however the land section was not as efficient but I would not hold that against Uniworld and definitely will be going on another cruise with them soon.

Cabin Review
