Cruise was taken on the recommendation of the travel agent. He said it wasn't in Fred Olsen or P&O class - at least he got that one right. It was terrible!! We arrived at Copenhagen and had to wait more than 2 hours for other flights. We were the last to board. We were given cabin keys that had to be changed 3 times before we could enter our cabin.

The free restaurants served very low class mediocre food, whilst the self service restaurant was nothing but a bun fight filled with ill mannered and noisy Americans who had never heard of queuing. The other restaurants were charging outlandish prices for what should have been standard dining.

Entertainment seemed to be around making money from you. Talks were money making exercises. Lots of gambling was pushed by the crew (another way of parting you from your money) either bingo, Deal or No Deal or casino. Nothing was free. There was no free cocktail party on Captains night as NCL had dispensed with any formal evenings. Staff were Nazi style about letting anyone on board with water or any liquids (NCL charged $6.50 per bottle)

The only way we could silence the TV was to unplug it. In the ten days we were there we didn't have one hot shower. It was reported to the steward but nothing happened. I had to ask for toiletries even thought they were supposed to be provided. We ran out of feminine hygiene bags on day two and were not replaced. The toilet had a constant bad smell and was only relieved by leaving the light/fan on.

Port Reviews

Tallinn

Took the hop on hop off tour. Better than any NCL excursion and cheaper too!!

Helsinki

Clean and architecture interesting but a very boring place. Have no desire to see it again.

Stockholm

Took hop on hop off bus. Very good but tour took so long we didn't get to ABBA museum. Nice city and lovely cruise into port

Rostock (Warnemunde)

Nice little town. Nothing special
