We chose to take this cruise aboard Carnival simply because I enjoy cruising and my wife wanted to visit Hawaii. Leaving from Vancouver was convenient, since we are from Seattle. Getting though customs was relatively smooth. While waiting for or luggage we decided to review the ship. We were initially disappointed in the ship. We noticed not a lot of activities, other than sitting in the sun. There were 2 water slides that looked to be fun and enjoyable. Well looks certainly are deceiving. One was never opened, and the other lasted 3 seconds.

We decided to maybe have a bite to eat. The lido deck buffet was well laid out. However the choices seemed to be constant. We have ridden other cruise ships and noticed a constant change in the menu.

I can only say the quality of food was mediocre at best.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

Not as roomy as some of the other cruise lines. Only one, count them, one plug for appliances: ie: hairdryer, toothbrush, etc. A old console type tv. A very small balcony

Comfortable bed though.
