This was our 5th voyage on the QM2. We chose it due to its recent Remastering. My wife and I embarked from Southampton to New York on Sept. 20th in a Queens Grille stateroom. Our luggage using Cunard's White Star service was the first to arrive in our room quickly followed by our two checked pieces. This was our third use of the White Star luggage service and it has always been reliable. We even checked a piece home from New York to home in Virginia when the ship disembarked. FedEx delivered it in two days.

The Queens Grille restaurant has totally changed with new furniture, carpeting and decor.

Cunard replaced the individual serving stations with two larger ones off the main dining area with opaque glass partitions. This gives the room a clean and open appearance. Our

The room was spectactular. There is all new furniture, carpeting, wallpaper and drapes. Even the balcony has new comfortable reclining chairs and tables. Though we had previously booked in Club Britannia in 2010 and followed the next three voyages in Princess Grille we decided to treat ourselves and go first class in Queens Grille this time. We were very pleased that we made that decision. Our butler, Krishna, and his assistant butler, Richard, made our 7-day voyage superb with their friendly attitude and willingness to accommodate us in every way. Our room was made up by the time we returned from breakfast. Krishna brought us different appitizers at 5pm each night instead of the usual canapés. They ranged from chicken drumsticks to shrimp kebobs to sushi, etc.
