We have cruised with Celebrity since 2008 - 7 cruises - sadly the standards declining as the years go by. Middle management confirmed it is all about profit now.
Reflection is still in good condition, but the staff are in fear of losing their jobs with near impossible targets. There are less staff - and the cabin stewards rely wholly on tips for their wage - no salary is paid to them. Our steward was excellent. Our travelling companions in Aqua Class not so lucky. A Queen size bed having only a single sheet on leaving mattress exposed top and bottom of the bed. It took complaints to customer service to get it rectified. They also had no shampoo, shower gel or any of the normal toiletries. We had to ask for cotton balls and buds and shower cap - they are not allowed to put these out unless passenger asks for them. Gone are few welcoming flowers in your cabin- only basics are standard now.
Main dining menus are the same every night with only 2 items changed daily. It became a chore deciding what to eat at night. The Canteen (or self serve restaurant as they call it) carries the same morning and lunch menus all through the cruise: it used to change a little daily offering interest. The specialty restaurants exorbitantly priced.
No issues. Clean, good condition.
What's not to love about Santorini. (OK apart from nearly 500 steps down to the port because 2 hour queue for cable car) My favorite port of call - and been many times.
Concrete jungle, beggars. One of my least favoured cities.
Fab Fab Fab! Look our for Petros - Pelican who wanders into the restaurant and waits to be fed!
Ephesus - do not miss !
Walk along the beautiful seafront and enjoy the shops!
Best thing about Naples: the road out to great places. Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii and even better Herculaneum.
Boarded here. Previously walked around and it was quite charming.
