Sailed on Pride of America for 7 night cruise. 2 people. Stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki 3 nights prior to cruise. Excellent location & pool. For inexpensive souvenirs, go to Duke's Marketplace. Went to the Polynesian Cultural Center - great place to learn about islands/history. Luau was just ok. Ha Breath of Life show was good but long. We also went to the north shore & did shark cage excursion - great fun , lots of sharks, cool experience. Hiked Diamondhead for sunrise - beautiful and a great workout with the incline walking trail.
Embarkation was very quick & efficient. Inside cabin was on the small side but very well maintained and clean. Good storage. Room steward was good except forgetting to replenish mini bar daily of soda & water. Quick elevators. We found that the majority of the workers/staff were very nice, some better than others. Food was average, nothing special. Ate at 3 specialty restaurants - steakhouse, Italian & Brazilian. All were good but really not worth paying the extra money for. Many activities/talks with Hawaiian Ambassador that were very informative. Did not see many nightly shows.
With no sea days, we opted for a very excursion heavy itinerary. We booked most tours with Roberts Hawaii at half the cost of NCL. They were very good, on time & would use again NCL luau was much better than the one we did earlier in week. Overall great cruise, loved the islands.
