We chose Viking because of the great variity of sailng dates, it was our first river cruise. We chose Rhine Getaway because we had not been to Germany nor Amsterdam before. We were impressed to be picked up at the airport by a private limo to take us to our hotel for our pre-cruise stay. The personel aboard was very welcoming, polite and friendly, the food excellent as well as the wine offered at meal time. We enjoyed the ship and cabin which were kept very clean. All public areas were well kept. Shore excursions, included and others, were well organized and guides were excellent. We looked at going to the Douro cruise but it was a little over our budget and it was not included in the early booking savings. Because of the small amount of people, it was more friendly than large cruises. We hope to go back, we really loved our trip!
