We cruised from Budapest to Amsterdam some years ago with Uniworld. We wanted to someday do the entire North Sea to Black Sea river and canal cruise. We read about Viking and heard about Viking from other cruisers.
We have cruised with at least six other cruise lines. We found the customer service given by the crew of the Lif to be exceptional from our cabin steward to our servers in the dining room. We especially liked the one price all inclusive style of Viking so we were not constantly being "nickeled and dimed."
We liked knowing our captain and our chef. We took a an informal walking tour of a market with our chef.
Cabin Review
Our cabin was comfortable but not large. The bathroom was exceptionally well designed. Our cabin steward was very efficient and eager to ensure we were happy with the service.
