A group of friends had been looking at doing a river cruise. Viking just seemed to fit. Although the price seemed high, we soon discovered it was well worth the price. We were totally impressed with the ship, the service, the included shore excursions. A few of us opted for additional shore excursions and the timing was just perfect, so that we could do the included tour and our optional ones. The coach transportation at the shore points were clean with exceptional Viking guides as well as well informed local guides. They were truly first class all the way! We all got French balcony cabins and enjoyed the large sliding window views. We had our choice of dining locations with multiple options each day. Entertainment each evening in the lounge was available. We extended our trip with two days in Basel Switzerland.

We all left the final day and decided we would to another Viking River Cruise again. We would definitely do an extension to spend more time in the city of disembarkation.
