Never been on a cruise of any kind before. Wanted a small boat experience. Choose Viking River Cruise. Wonderful choice. From the beginning we knew we hit the jackpot. As foodies and "winers" we were delighted with the selection offered each night. My wife as some food restrictions and the staff gave her options each night without asking. Each day was a surprise. Eating at the Captains table one night was a delightful experience where we opportunity to get to know both the Captain and Luciano, the Hotel Manager. We enjoyed the solitude on the bow of the ship with friends in some not so good weather conditions. Blankets, wine, and cheese plates were made available for our enjoyment. We we met a couple from St. Louis with whom we will be cruising this coming May from Nuremberg to Budapest. We all agreed that this was the best vacation we had ever had.
