We arrived two days early for the cruise which allowed us to explore on our own and get there on time! We always arrive a minimum of a day early. Prague is a beautiful city to roam and very comfortable. We were lucky since the Elbe can be shallow and although we were warned of possible problems that could entail offloading on to a bus, we did not have to disembark during the cruise. The stops were very nice but compared to the Rhine and Danube, not as spectacular. The history of Eastern Germany and the country side visited was more than I had expected.

Viking does an great job with ship accommodations, food and crew.

They did not have a hard surface dance floor in the social room and that made for a difficult time for the local dancers that came on to entertain. It was also an inconvenience for the couples who wanted to dance.

Cabin Review

French Balcony Stateroom

Very nice cabin on this ship deal of Vikings ships.

We loved the Viking Beyla even though it is a much smaller ship than what you find on the Rhine or Danube. The smaller guest size made it easier to get to know our fellow passengers and we had a chance to dine with most of them either at dinner or lunch. The food was excellent and the culinary demonstrations were fun and informative. The crew was delightful and fun.
