We picked this cruise for the itinerary and it was more than we expected. The cabin was a good size, the bed was very comfortable. Dining was excellent as was the service. Loved all the ports we visited. Would have liked to spend a little more time in the towns we visited. Overall an excellent cruise and would definitely choose Avalon again. The crew was cordial and good at what they do. The shore excursions were well planned and the surprise treats were an added bonus, especially the Rudesheim coffee. Our tour director was very personable with a wonderful sense of humor who made our trip a pleasure. We were really taken aback by the beauty of the countryside and the historical places we were privileged to visit. We loved the old cobblestone streets in many of the towns we visited and were often in awe of who else might have strolled down those same narrow streets that we did. Bottled water was supplied on every excursion into town. Fantastic cruise.
