Uniworld was a cruise line I had not heard of until our travel agent introduced it to me. There were two of us travelling and our travel agent had a great deal on offer from Uniworld. The cruise went from Budapest to Amsterdam and the special deal allowed us to be able to afford to upgrade to a suite.

We arrived in Budapest two days before the cruise which gave us a chance to get our bearings and discover a little about this beautiful city. Knowing little about Budapest this was a wonderful experience. The locals were friendly and helpful and nearly everyone spoke English.

We boarded our ship, SS Maria Theresa, in the afternoon and a truly fantastic adventure began. The ship is stunning. The lobby area is like a luxury hotel and you check in as you would for a hotel. You get a boarding card which is also the room key. The lobby is decorated in an ornate Baroque style with a stunning portrait of Maria Theresa and an equally stunning chandelier.

Cabin Review

Cabin Suite with enclosed outside balcony.

Excellent. The amenities were superb. Well maintained and clean. Fabulous en-suite with complimentary toiletries. Excellent butler service. Fully stocked bar.
