This was our first river cruise. We had a great time. The ship and crew were excellent. Our cabin was very comfortable with terrific cleaning service. Our dining experience was very good, the chef's menu and meals were excellent. The ports and shore excursions, included in the price or package was very informative and provided an unforgettable experience. We did not participate in the on-ship entertainment as we enjoyed the peaceful views, from our cabin balcony, while traveling down the Rhine river.

Our only regret was not having any time to spend in in Basel. We booked an extra 2 day stay in Lucerne. The bus trip to Lucerne and tour from Viking was comfortable an,d very informative. The stay was really was a day and 1/2 as we had to leave for the airport by 7am. on Tuesday.

Overall Viking took care of us from arriving at the airport in Amsterdam to departing at the airport in Zürich. We will recommend Viking to our friends and family and take another cruise with Viking in the future.
