We had taken a wonderful Volga river cruise three years ago. So we were excited to take another river cruise. We chose Budapest to Amsterdam. It did not begin to compare to our first cruise. Staff and food was awesome. Tours were repetitive. We saw the same things at each stop. The Mozart and Strauss concert was terrific but the hall where it was held did not seem worthy of the entertainment.

Would have liked to stay longer in several of the towns to experience and Shop in a European city.

There were toooooo many locks and down time. Top deck was off limits a lot, so was nothing to do. Boring. Would have liked to have access to bicycles or be within walking distance with time to explore the cities.. Basically I think the cruise tried to cover tooooo many river miles at the expense of actually exploring European towns.

Cabin Review

Explorer Suite

Cabin ES

We were upgraded to one of best cabins which was awesome. However the engine noise and bouncing off the walls when going thru locks was very annoying. The balcony was great but hard to really enjoy due to engine noise. Service for the cabin was exceptional.
