Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Over the years we have had many cruises on a variety of ships, this cruise from Hong Kong to Brisbane is by far the worst we have experienced.

Boarding was a big plus in Hong Kong but on boarding there was no assistance to find our cabin, no little ship map, nobody to point us in the direction we needed.

1st evening drinks in the schooner bar were a disaster as the noise was horrendous with someone on a mike trying to talk down the crowd, we moved to the Centrum only to be blasted by a 6 piece band playing at 150 decibels in a small area. So much for a quiet drink, & this kept up for the entire journey, there just wasn't anywhere to get away from the constant noise of people screaming into microphones in the lounges or on deck. The only quiet spot was the Viking Crown lounge but you were barred after 4.30pm.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

No real criticism of the cabin other than to say we had to get the steward to shampoo the carpet & to try & get rid of the bad smell in the bathroom. The balcony door wouldn't lock & the outside area was dirty.
