Itinary was very good. History and archeology interesting in Greece, Turkey and Italy. Excursions to Delos and Ephesus excellent, with superb, knowledgable guides. Crete was disappointing as no organised tours to Knossos, we hired a car, but only had 1.5 hrs there. Ship could have docked for longer to allow visit to best sites.

Ship itself was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The ambiance around the atrium was noisy, with loud non stop pop music day and night, more relaxing, quiet music would be moe appropriate.

The cabin was a disappointment with 3 adults, as the sofa bed was a foam topper on the sofa. We have had proper pull out beds on other cruise ships.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 2

Cabin A2

Cabin OK for 2 adults, not a lot of hanging space, no bath (tub), not good for 3 adults. quiet cabin, ship quite stable, the 2 adults in the main bed slept OK, not so for the 3rd adult.

Toiletries provided were poor quality

Port Reviews

Santorini

Long, long queues for cable car, so waked both ways up a long, narrow, very steep lane with the donkeys. It was quite scary at times with the numerous donkeys both walking the track or actually tethered together, and blocking the narrow lane. One of the donkeys started kicking and set off a few of the others. There were too many donkeys for safety of pedestrians.

Athens (Piraeus)

Did our own bus trip into Athens. We were not told about the local bus, which went straight from the port to the Acropolis. We were told to take a taxi, and the taxi driver pointed out the bus!

Bodrum

Walked around the town, with lots of interesting shopping.

Naples

Did our walking to the town and archeological museum. Museum excellent, where best specimens, from Pompeii and Heraculum are displayed.

Fortunately Italian staff were on duty as we got off the ship and gave us good maps of Naples which enabled us to do our own thing.

Noticed tours to Pompeii, Herculaneum etc very short, expensive, and unlikely to be very very informative. You need a whole day at either site. Do you own research and use cheap Italian trains, drop you off right outside these sites, then take electronic guide

General comment ship staff only interested in selling very expensive tours, not helping you find your own way around.
