We were on the DVC member's cruise, so this was not your average trip. This older ship has been re-habbed & is in great shape, including updates to 1 dining room and to the outdoor children's pool area. We travel without children and use mostly adults only areas. This was a quick trip to Halifax with a day at sea coming & going. There is special entertainment and programming for the members-- always great. Rotating through the 3 dining rooms is fun. Carioca's replaces Parrot Cay and is much more subdued, but still has great Caribbean food. We made our usual trip to Palo and cannot rave enough about the wonderful food & service. An extra-added bonus was a beautiful sunset and table by the window. Retail shops are small and could use some more space as compared to the newer Disney ships. Halifax is a nice port with lots to do there. We arranged our own shore excursion-- Segawy around the city was very nice.

Port Reviews

Halifax

We chose to do an excursion on our own and booked a Segway tour. A very easy way to cover a lot of ground and see the city. We also went by ferry across the harbor to view Halifax from afar. This was the longest tour they had & it was a little too long so we didn't have time to shop or sit along the harborwalk and take in the sights. A very nice city to visit and we can always find something to do.
