This trip was chosen because of its historic nature and I had not been on a paddlewheel boat. All of my cruising has been on ocean liners and one riverboat in Europe. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the spacious cabins and bathrooms which are a rarity!! The boat was cozy and well appointed, and outstanding service . All crew were friendly, accommodating and efficient. They could not do enough for me and a smile and a conversation was continuous. The trip was relaxing with the tours well planned. I was not rushed at all and given many opportunities to rest and enjoy the ride. I had a mobility problem and everyone was so willing and able to assist me in getting off the boat in a wheelchair. The entertainment was fun and a highlight were the popcorn and sundaes offered during the shows. It is lovely to explore our United States with an historian onboard who was interesting and informative. My friend and I were so enthusiastic that we booked a two week trip on the Mississippi River next year.
