This was the second cruise we have made with AMAWaterways. They are all about service from the cruise manager, to housekeeping, to the crew handling the ship.
The local guides speak good English and are very knowledgeable. Almost every walking tour has different walking paces to accommodate everyone so they have an enjoyable time. They are Active, Regular and Gentle. There are two or three choices of tours each day. Local entertainers come aboard each evening which adds to the experience of the area you are traveling through, plus they are a lot of fun and very talented.
A guest can be as involved or not involved as they desire each day. The ship is quiet, with high end snacks available all day. The food and the choices are excellent. You can eat as little or much as you wish. Healthy options to the wonderfully decadent.
Clean, enough storage, bathroom is very good considering you are on a ship. Comfortable bed, good lighting, quiet.
We chose to attend the Provençal cooking. The chef was a delight teaching his curious, eager yet clumsy students. He was gracious and engaging.. We all had a ball learning hands on.
