We chose this cruise as the rates for an inside cabin were really low, and then when we found the airfair was super cheap through the cruise line, we jumped at the chance. I have had a few different types of cruises on my to-do list and while I wanted a Transatlantic, I thought if I was going to be on ocean for that long I wanted to be on a large ship. It just so happens that the Allure was the largest cruise ship at the time so this met all my goals.
The shows were great but the organization of them was a bit off. We made all of our reservations in advance but people were entering the venues without reservations by just walking past the staff. Also when there was a delay in the ice show due to stage issues, there was no staff to give updates or even try to keep the mob of people in any sort of orderly fashion.
With those minor inconveniences, we still had a great time and it was a very relaxing way to spend 12 days.
Well organized cabin for an interior. Bed was by the closet and would have opted for bed on the back wall if I would have found out more in advance. Still, we made it work.
We stayed in Barcelona for a few days before the cruise. Didn't book anything through the ship, but did a lot of the tourist sites on our own. The MTA Metro is a very easy and convenient way to get around.
