We chose this river cruise because it had something of particular interest to each of us - Giverny for me (Monet is my favorite) and Normandy for my historian husband. We arrived a few days ahead and toured Paris, included was a wonderful guided tour of a historic district. Viking handled everything so smoothly, all transfers - plane to hotel to ship to airport - making it all very easy.

The ship was perfect, our cabin with a veranda very comfortable, the staff helpful and cheerful (the bartenders remembered what we wanted to drink...), the food delicious. Every port included a walking tour of the area with knowledgeable local guides; several other tours were included to Giverny, Normandy and others, with optional other tours for purchase. Each evening there was entertainment, lectures and demonstrations to further understanding of the area. The ship was smaller than an ocean ship and seemed very cozy and populated with such nice people. We came away with new friends with whom we continue to stay in touch. Undecided? Try it, you'll like it!!

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Loved having the veranda - although the cold front that came in limited our time just sitting there. Comfortable bed and heated floor in the bathroom, plenty of closet/drawer space.
