We came for the wine region and were blown away by the food on-board the ship. It was unexpectedly terrific. The wine list wines were inexpensive if you want to upgrade for a special bottle, particularly if you need to spend on-board credits. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The excursions and guides were very good with some of the paid excursions providing very nice wine tastings. One night was dinner at a Chateau and that was wonderful. The terrace is available for evening meals for when you don't want the noise and crowds in the main dining room. The food is the same as in the main dining room, plus special appetizers. Service is also very personal on the terrace. We didn't participate in many of the on-board enrichment lectures and events, but we heard good things from people who did. We also took the 3 day pre-tour in the Loire Valley and the 3 day post tour in Paris. Again, very nice and the hotel in Tours (Chateau Belmont) was terrific, both room and food. No negatives. A very pleasant cruise.
