Uniworld surpassed our expectations in luxury, the helpfulness and the knowledge of the crew, the informational talks, and the creative and inspirational tours that covered a range from intellectual to physical exercise. Since I have food allergies, I was particularly concerned about how difficult it would be to eat food I wasn't allergic to. I was given my own individual food management person who was there every breakfast and lunch to tell me what I could and couldn't eat and also to show me the evening's menu and to suggest options for me. They were so wonderful with me that I could relax and forget about being allergic to foods, as they were always watching out for me.
In addition, I had a horrible cold and went to the emergency room of a hospital in Germany because I was afraid it had turned into pneumonia. One of the top crew members insisted on going with me to translate for me. You can not imagine how important that was, and I am sure most river cruises wouldn't do that for their passengers.
The excursions had excellent, knowledgeable guides, and the cruise tour manager went above and beyond describing what we were seeing along the river, recommending restaurants and places to visit, and helping all of us anyway he could.
It was lovely and elegant. The bed was very comfortable and there was ample closets for us. The bathroom had a heated towel rack and floor and a wonderful shower.
