I was expecting a 5 star experience, the only thing i experienced 5 star was the food, it really was excellent. 1st off the mattress was horrendous, i had to request an egg crate topper, i found 2 pubic hairs on the clean towels, no they were not mine, they were black. mine are gray. the commode overflowed once, we had a sewer smell in the room at the st Thomas port and when i reported it to guest services they only said wait a while it will go away, it should not even be there at a five star resort. the desk stool collapsed on me the room chair was worn out, had to put a cushion on it to even sit on it. we got run off the balcony at least 5 times from the smell of cigarette smoke on adjoining balcony. my wife is allergic to cigarette smoke and she has developed a cough. Wednesday dinner on the lido i was having the Caribbean Seafood dish and i bit down into a piece of china, the wait staff said it was just a shell, it was not a shell, I would have cut my mouth if I had not had dentures to protect it. i saw the same china in the pinnacle grill dinner we had Thursday. the waiter offered us a dinner at the pinnacle but we had already prepaid for that day, the same day as lobster night on board but i still had to pay 20 dollars extra for min, it was very good dinner. the waiter could have credited my charges. Friday on the private island owned by HAL, i tried to purchase 2 beers with my drink card , i was told by the bartenders "we have no computer, we need to charge to room" i went to guest services again to get the charges reversed to the card, but no way it was off the ship. It was still on HAL property so i think it should count.
