Embarkation at Southampton was acceptable - much as other cruise companies.
Our cabin, a sheltered balcony was, again, quite acceptable - and albeit winter, I in particular appreciated the balcony. But we were fortunate in having exceptionally calm weather on both crossings. Our cabin stewardess did her job adequately. But really, no more.
What we booked was a cruise encompassing the Atlantic crossings and two weeks along the New England and Canadian coasts. It was the only way, we thought,of seeing a part of the United States and Canada without flying. So, 28 days on board the ship on a round trip.
We liked the cabin. It was well placed for the stairs, which does help in such a large vessel. It was solid and ship-like - we felt we were on a ship. It was quite roomy and we had no difficuolty with storage,.The bathroom was basic but adequate.
