Just returned from a 5D4N on Costa Victoria which departed from Singapore to Phuket & Langkawi. Would like to share with everyone my terrible experience onboard.

1) Food: Terrible, terrible, either very salty/sweet, over spicy/oily or tasteless, noodles were always over-cooked. Hoping to find some nice pasta or pizza since it's a Italian cruise ship but not at all....only have either penne or spaghetti with tomato sauce(taste like straight from a jar/canned) or creamy sauce, pizza served at the pizzeria was the same... terrible too......simple ingredients & tasteless. Worst...there's like 4 station for beverages but 3 were always CLOSED, juices only available on the first & last day of cruise for breakfast, ridiculous, water tastes just siphon from the sea, there's a sign indicating no topping up your water bottle using their water dispenser & they don't provide any bottled water in the cabin. Seems like the dishes that they served were all mass produced from a central kitchen, restaurants(sit-down dining & no pork) & buffet style(self-serve & no pork) serve the same dishes(no pork). Saw 1 of the filippino staff(higher rank then service staff) at the buffet area, he just pull down the blind even though there's guest still getting his/hers food before the closing time for breakfast/lunch/tea-break/dinner at the buffet area hurrying/chasing guest away. Non of the dining option operates round the clock.

2)Service: Service staff have horrible attitude, no training given to talk or serve their guest, staff were always talking loudly among themselves even there's guest around them, it's the same whether at the buffet or restaurant, no smile/greeting at all like we are there to bother them. Went to the restaurant for the so call GALA Dinner evening, hoping to have a nice meal after our first horrible encounter of food at the buffet area, after sitting down menu was not on the table and it take awhile for them to deliver the menu after having to ask a few times, again not happy to take order, when food arrives he just put them down on the table, is like nah your food is here, sort them out yourself( he didn't serve them accordingly to whoever's order) & eat it & don't you bother me attitude, btw food wasn't serve accordingly to the course, our salad came after our main. Dessert take a long time to be served so rejected it as we were already pretty full thinking no point bringing it, so server not happy & tried arguing w me(telling me he have a few tables(3) to look after...blah blah blah. Another issue, order 4 fish but server serve 3 first, just a reminder to him we have 4 & he replied he only have 1 hand to serve. Read more
