We booked this cruise because of it's itinerar, and having never sailed on the Regal. As we usually sail the smaller Princess ships out of the West Coast. Embarkation was efficient, and our 11:00 am. Priority Boarding allowed us to be on the Regal in time for lunch at Alfredo's Pizzeria. Luggage was deliver to our stateroom by 3:00 pm. Our stateroom attendant. Alex, was very efficient and made sure our special requests were met.
Although the Regal carries almost 4000 passengers, it never seemed crowded, as there were many different venues and activities throughout the ship.
The MDR staff were generally efficient, although one evening our MDR waiter, Piano, seemed overwhelmed, because both he and his assistant waiter, Darko, were new sailing on the Regal, and not too familiar with the layout of the dining room to pick up the food from the kitchen.
Avoid this cabin on the Marina deck like the plague if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise. Very noisy throughout the evening up to 11:00 pm. Sounds coming from public areas above like furniture being constantly moved around.
Just a day at the beach under a clamshell, with complimentary buffet lunch and drinks. Nice white sandy beach. Good swimming, snorkleong, and rental beach activities. Excellent variety buffet lunch with drinks included. Well worth $29 (for 2).
Independent tour. Outside the pier. $20 per person for 3 hour tour stopping a Hell, Dolphin Swim, Rum Facory Tour.
