My husband and I took this cruise with another couple as a winter get-away from the weather in the Pacific Northwest! The 3,600 passenger ship was in pristine condition and the crew were excellent. This type of trip at holiday time was obviously one for family groups; we saw numerous extended families who found the amenities on board lots of fun in a confined arena of a cruise ship.

Our shore excursions were well staffed and interesting. I recommend the zip line tour to anyone who is still moderately fit and wants to try something a bit adventuresome! At age 66/68 my husband and I enjoyed it immensely. We took at special tour of the ship's dining preparation center (kitchen) and it was fascinating; afterwards, 100 of us were treated to a champagne lunch prepared by the head Chef and introduced to his staff.

The staff and passengers spoke English and Spanish as well as a few other languages. There were good packages for wifi and drinks, etc. If you are a shopper in jewelry or paintings, this is the cruise for you. Jewelry on the ship, in the port towns, everywhere!

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Our balcony oceanview statement was lovely. The room temp was always cool and our steward kept it clean and neat each day. Our steward created towel art several times so one day a towel bat was hanging from the ceiling and another day a towel bunny was sitting on our coffee table!

Kindness begets kindness; we constantly thanked and complimented the crew for their outstanding job... they deserved it.
